Fine Lines and Spacing
Definition
While there is no strict IPC definition for what constitutes a “fine” line, we generally define this as including boards with 2 through 5 mil line and spacing.
Applications
The ever increasing need to do more in less space has driven the need for finer lines / spaces and higher density features. Further, as component manufacturers design ever tighter component footprints, PCB designers are often forced into tight circuit designs.
